Episode 21: “Polo in the Pines”

On this episode of “No Dams Given,” Tripp, Nicky, and (late as always) Eric interview Sean O’Keefe and Tina Fowler.  The discussion is all about charities in general, and the “Polo in the Pines” event in particular—which is a two-day fundraiser for those who suffer from brain cancer. Mrs. Fowler and her mother, the late Sharon Knight, started “Polo in the Pines” as their way of giving back to those in need.  Listeners will be moved by Tina’s story about her mother’s fight against cancer; and, if you are not from Albany, you will learn about the Sullivan sisters—a statistical impossibility if there ever was one. Mr. O’Keefe explains how businesses and nonprofits can work together to make the suffering we all encounter just a little more tolerable.
